Dr. Karissa Ketzner graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She then went on to complete internships in Equine Medicine and Surgery at the University of Illinois and an Equine Surgical Residence with a Master of Science degree at the University of Missouri. She became a Diplomate of American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2010. After finishing her degrees, Dr. Ketzner moved to Rapid City area where she began working at a mixed animal practice. After discovering a love of working with small animals, she joined the team at Animal Clinic of Rapid City in 2016. Her main interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventative medicine, and internal medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Ketzner loves to hike the Black Hills with her daughters, husband, and her 3-legged wonder dog "Killian." Dr. Ketzner looks forward to meeting you and your 4-legged loved ones!
